8 February: 🪅End-of-the-competition Party🪩
On the 8th of February all three teams have their last match of the competition season. This of course asks for a party 😉 (and the men’s team already secured the first place). Thus make sure that by Saturday afternoon your homework is done, that the assignments are submitted and that you are done cutting the grass (or whatever students need to do on Saturdays), and that you come to party and have a fun evening.
Location: Luc’s place
Cost: none
18 February: Padel 🏓/🎾?
We all agree on the fact that badminton is by far the superior racket sport. However, every now and then it can be fun to play one of the other silly racket sports, such as padel! There is a padel hall near the train station, so we from the activity committee thought it might be fun to check it out and try this silly variant of tennis.
Note: The date is subject to change. We will ask for a small participation fee.
22 February: 🍻 Beer tasting 🍻
Recently a new committee has been established: VIBE (Very Intensive Beer Enthusiasts). Within no-time, this committee came up with a wonderful activity suggestion: a beer tasting evening. Details about this activity will follow later. The draft is as follows: every participant brings 2 copies of their favorite type of beer, and we will rate each other’s choices 🍻.
24 February: Carnaval Training
ALAAF!
Fellow Panachers, from Saturday 1 March until Tuesday 4 March, Eindhoven will be all about Carnaval, a yearly tradition for the south of the Netherlands. Carnaval is all about partying, funny songs and of course, wearing a ridiculous costume!
So just like the Halloween training from last year, we from the PAK hope to see a lot of Panachers in their Carnaval costume this Monday, 24 February. The beginner and advanced training will be merged together and we will just be playing a bunch of mini games throughout the training hours.
To get a better idea of what Carnaval is all about, see this website:

1&2 March:🏸 Stuban Tournament 🏸
Stuban is our fellow student badminton association from the university of Nijmegen. This is of course a tournament we do not want to miss! Competitive matches, sharing dinner together and partying afterwards 🎊🪅 🥳. And after a good few hours of sleep, we can get back on court for the second match day! We will announce when the subscriptions are about to open. For now, make sure to mark your calendar and start looking for a teammate to subscribe with (at the tournament we play singles, doubles and/or mixed doubles).
8&9 March:🏸 Panache Tournament🏸
The 8th and 9th of March the awesome Panache Tournament will take place again. Players from all across the Netherlands come to Eindhoven to participate. Our wonderful Tournament Committee (ToCo) consisting of Luc, Songchai, Maud, Tycho, Melle, Srikar, Bradley and Chantal are already working hard to make sure this year the tournament will be a great success once again.
All Panache members (even with a contributor membership) are allowed to join! And in fact, I highly encourage you to join, since it will be two days of playing serious matches, cheering your fellow Panache members on, and of course join the Panache Tournament PARTY!!!
More information about the (cheap) participation costs, the tournament’s theme, and the subscription opening will follow later.
16 March: 🫖High tea vs low coffee☕
Within Panache there are two committees named TAC (Tea Appreciation Committee) and the CAC (Coffee Appreciation Committee). On the 16th of March, these rivals of each other will host an activity together: High Tea VS Low Coffee. It will be a high tea, though we will also drink special coffee, of course with the best cookies that pair well with coffee. We encourage everyone to bring something nice. It’s a great activity to get to know your fellow Panachers better, and spill some ‘coffee’.

11 April: 🍿Movie Night #2 🍿
Last edition of the movie night was a great success, so we from the PAK agreed we simply need to have another one 🙂
More details will follow later, for now just make sure your mark this date in your calendar and start brainstorming which movies you propose to watch together
15 April: Jeux de Boules
In the center of Eindhoven there is a bar at which they have jeux de boules courts! For those that do not know this game, jeux the boules is a game where you try to throw your set of playing balls as close as possible to a target ball. The goal is to get one of your balls closer to the target than your opponent’s playing balls. This will for sure be a fun evening, so make sure to join us 🙂
26 April: 🧡King’s night BBQ🧡
This is the second of the two yearly Panache pizza cocktail parties. Only this time, we will have a BBQ instead of pizza’s. This is one of Panache’s activities your surely DO NOT WANT TO MISS. For a small contribution you get wonderful dinner, delicious cocktails and mocktails, snacks, and have a fun evening with your fellow Panache members. No reason not to join.
10&11 May: 🏸Rijncup🏸
The Rijncup Tournament is the yearly tournament of our fellow student badminton association in Wageningen. People from everywhere in the Netherlands are joining their tournament. We have the possibility to bring a tent and sleep on one of the fields outside the hall.
Players can subscribe in four different categories (1-4-6-8): from beginning to advanced! During the weekend tough matches are played, but that is usually not the only reason why people are coming to this tournament. The camping, the barbecue and the party are the things which make their tournament so special.
The tournament takes place in the second weekend of May each year. Be ready to subscribe as soon as the registrations for this tournament open as it gets full very quickly! Make sure you find a partner to play with well on time.
